During a matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns in Arizona, the road team lost a key player midway through.
Milwaukee’s Kyle Kuzma went back to the Bucks’ locker room and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
There wasn’t a descriptive diagnosis for Kuzma, but the fact that his injury was related to his Achilles generated some understandable worry from Bucks fans.
He isn’t entirely in the clear, but Kuzma seemingly avoided a notable setback during the upset 108-105 victory over the Suns.

According to the Bucks’ official injury report, Kuzma is dealing with Achilles soreness.
As a result, the veteran forward is listed as questionable to take on the Clippers.
When Kuzma left the March 21 matchup against the Suns, the Bucks’ forward checked in for nearly 24 minutes.
During that time, Kuzma shot 7-12 from the field. He scored 20 points, while coming down with two rebounds and racking up one assist.
The 2025-2026 NBA season marks the first full year for Kuzma on the Bucks. After Saturday’s game, Kuzma had made 65 appearances on the court for Milwaukee. 40 of those games were starts.
During his current run with the Bucks, Kuzma has averaged 13.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. The 30-year-old is shooting 49.0% from the field and 35.2% from beyond the arc.

The 2025-2026 NBA season served as a critical year for the Bucks. With all of the Giannis Antetokounmpo questions looming, the Bucks hoped to be dark horse contenders in an unpredictable Eastern Conference.
Unfortunately, the Bucks are finding themselves outside of the Play-In Tournament in late March.
The Charlotte Hornets occupy the East’s 10th seed. The Bucks are 7.5 games behind them. There are just 12 games left for Milwaukee.

Kuzma entered the NBA out of Utah. He was a first-round pick (27th overall) out of Utah in the 2017 NBA Draft.
He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kuzma was included in an offseason trade in 2021. He landed on the Washington Wizards as part of the deal that landed the Lakers Russell Westbrook.
The Wizards gave Kuzma a four-season run. In year four, they traded him to the Bucks.
Down the stretch last season with the Bucks, Kuzma posted averages of 14.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
