Brush fire in Eastern Arapahoe County is now out

A brush fire in Eastern Arapahoe County is now out, according to an Arapahoe Sheriff X post.

The fire, which started Sunday afternoon, was burning near East 6th Avenue and North Manila Road between Watkins and Bennett. Residents who were evacuated as a precaution are returning to their homes.

Seven fire rescue teams were dispatched to the area, including the Arapahoe Wildland Fire Team, South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue. Several homeowners also assisted.
