The Cleveland Browns could look to trade star receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Cleveland selected KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in the first and second rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft to bolster the receiver unit. With that, the Browns could move on from Jeudy, and Browns analyst Ernest Cova of FanSided urges the team to trade him to the San Francisco 49ers.
“Jeudy’s trade value may be lower than it has been in years coming off such a disappointing season, but he’s a former first-round pick who’s still in his physical prime,” Cova wrote. “The 49ers have one of the best offensive play-callers in the game on the sidelines in Shanahan. The Browns would also be wise to give their rookies as much as they can handle right out of the gate, given how explosive and efficient both of them have looked thus far.
“The Browns also have a potential breakout candidate in Isaiah Bond. They don’t have much depth beyond that, so losing Jeudy would certainly shake things up. In-house options like Cedric Tillman and Malachi Corley could potentially step up to fill that void. The Browns aren’t punting on this 2026 season and trading away veterans just for the sake of it. But if the 49ers are desperate enough to overpay for Jeudy, the Browns should certainly be willing to listen.”
The 49ers could use another wide receiver, and Jeudy does make sense for them. Cleveland, meanwhile, would save nearly $3.9 million by trading him. It would also open up more snaps for Concepcion, Boston, and Bond, among others.
Browns HC Has High Praise for Rookie WR
Part of the reason why Cleveland could look to trade Jeudy is how well Concepcion and Boston have looked.
The rookie wide receivers look like they are ready for a big role. Browns head coach Todd Monken believes Boston is showing signs of an early Mike Evans.
“We’re comparing a little early to compare to Mike Evans, who’s an absolute stud,” Monken said about Boston. “Not only from his size, catch radius, ability to bend and get in and out of breaks, has an unbelievable competitive spirit to want to win. When I was with him, he never complained about balls coming his way. He knew they would come his way.”
If Boston can come close to Evans’ career, it would be a home run pick for the Browns. He also compared Concepcion to Zay Flowers.
“There are some traits that are similar to (Flowers),” Monken said of Concepcion after the 2026 NFL Draft. “But I love when people spoke about KC, it reminded me of Zay in that, in terms of how he practiced, what he brings in every day. And if you’re looking for that comparison, that I can compare, I believe he’s going to bring that like Zay did.”
So, with Concepcion and Boston added at receiver, the Browns’ future appears to be bright.
Jeudy Clarifies Viral Video About QB
As for Jeudy, he was at the center of a viral video.
Jeudy was on a livestream and put up four fingers when asked who he wanted to start. Yet, he claims he was asked a different question when he put up four fingers.
“I threw out the four because she’s 4 years old,” Jeudy said.
After the video went viral, Jeudy said he spoke to all the quarterbacks.
“I’ve been in the league for seven years — at least five or six of the years, it’s all been a quarterback competition within those years,” Jeudy added. “I think I’m mature enough and wise enough to not answer questions like that.”
The Browns have yet to announce their starting QB.
