Browns Showing Interest in Speedy Playmaker Ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns could go in a variety of directions with their two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. So, the team is doing its homework on a lot of different prospects. That includes Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the Browns hosted Concepcion for a pre-draft visit Wednesday.

Concepcion could be an option for the Browns in the final third of the first round. Cleveland currently holds the No. 24 overall pick.

The Browns also have the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. rated the Texas A&M product the No. 6 wide receiver in the 2026 draft class. NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah ranked Concepcion the No. 29 overall prospect.

“Concepcion is an undersized receiver with elite burst and inconsistent hands. His speed jumps off the screen,” wrote Jeremiah. You can see it right off the snap: He uses a quick jab step and then explodes down the field. He creates massive separation against quality competition.

“Overall, Concepcion is an intriguing player who needs to decrease his drop rate.”

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein also raved about Concepcion’s speed. Zierlein also identified offenses with under average protection and a young quarterback as the ideal fit for the wideout.

“Concepcion offers immediate burst and separation into space. He’s elusive in beating press and getting into breaks with minimum damage from handsy coverage,” wrote Zierlein. “While he has a one-speed approach, he can snap off routes with alarming suddenness, making him extremely difficult to match at leveraged break points.

“Concepcion’s ability to quickly uncover should be very appealing to teams with spotty protection and a young quarterback.”

Browns Officially Host Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion on NFL Pre-Draft Visit

NFL analyst Ryan Fowler first reported the Browns hosting Concepcion on a pre-draft visit on March 25. According to Pelissero, the visit officially occurred Wednesday.

Concepcion experienced issues with drops during his college career. Without that, he might be set to go a lot higher in the 2026 NFL Draft.

But as it is, Concepcion is a potential first-round pick.

For the Browns, they could bolster their offensive or defensive line with their first first-round pick. Then at No. 24 overall, they could target a receiver such as Concepcion.

Last season, Concepcion posted 61 receptions for 919 receiving yards. He also had nine touchdowns while earning a spot on the All-American team.

Browns WR Depth Entering 2026 NFL Draft

Cleveland could add a first-round wideout following the disappointing 2025 campaign from veteran Jerry Jeudy. After making his first Pro Bowl during 2024, Jeudy had 50 receptions, 602 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2025.

The soon-to-be 27-year-old had 90 catches, 1,229 receiving yards and four touchdowns during 2024.

Concepcion could nicely pair with Jeudy, especially since Concepcion could play a lot in the slot at the NFL level.

Cleveland also has Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond as potential starting receivers entering the draft. Furthermore, wideouts Tylan Wallace, Gage Larvadain, Malachi Corley, Jamari Thrash, Isaiah Wooden and Luke Floriea on the offseason roster.
