Broncos fifth-round CB Kris Abrams-Draine latest to agree to rookie contract terms, source says

The Broncos’ rookie class will be on the field Friday for minicamp and more continue to agree to their first professional contracts.

Fifth-round cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine is the latest, as a source confirmed to The Denver Post on Thursday that Abrams-Draine and the team had agreed to terms on his four-year rookie contract.

Abrams-Draine was selected No. 145 overall last month, two spots ahead of running back Audric Estime. He logged four interceptions and 15 passes defensed in 2023 at Missouri and earned a first-team All-SEC selection and second-team All-American honors.

The slot value for Abrams-Draine’s draft position is a four-year contract worth $4.37 million. It comes with a $348,264 signing bonus. Abrams-Draine will carry a 2024 salary cap charge of $882,066.

He follows a trio of Day 3 picks that agreed to contract terms Wednesday, including Estime, seventh-round receiver Devaughn Vele and seventh-round offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo.

The three remaining unsigned draft picks are Denver’s top three: First-round quarterback Bo Nix, third-round edge rusher Jonah Elliss and fourth-round wide receiver Troy Franklin.
