Police are investigating an attack on a man and a boy who were stabbed late Sunday in Lincoln Park.
An “unknown male offender” confronted the victims, a 6-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man, who were walking in the 2700 block of North Sheffield Avenue, police said.
The attacker then became aggressive, brandished a sharp object and began a physical altercation, leaving the man with a puncture wound to the left arm and the boy with a “minor” laceration to the back, police said.
Both were taken in good condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.
No other injuries were reported.
The attacker ran away south and has not been arrested.
Area 3 detectives are investigating.
