A 2-year-old boy suffered critical head injuries when he fell from the window of an Edgewater neighborhood apartment on Friday morning.
The boy fell from a window on the 4th floor of an apartment building in the 5800 block of North Sheridan Road around 11:30 a.m., Chicago police said.
The boy hit his head and was taken in critical condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
It was not clear how the fall occurred but it is under investigation by Area 3 detectives.
