A teenage gunshot victim flagged down police after being shot early Monday in South Shore, police said.
Around 2:45 a.m., officers who were on patrol encountered the teen who needed help because someone shot him while he was outside in 7800 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, Chicago police said.
He was shot in the left arm and right hand and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was in fair condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
