Boston Celtics Make Roster Moves Before OKC Thunder Game

On Wednesday evening, the Celtics will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Boston.

The Celtics recently assigned two players (Amari Williams and Max Shulga) to the G League.

Williams and Shulga have spent a lot of time going back and forth between Boston and Maine.

Before Wednesday’s game, the Celtics recalled both players back to the NBA.

Williams’ Season In The G League And NBA

Williams has had limited playing time in the NBA so far.

He is averaging 1.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field in his first 19 games.

In the G League, the former Kentucky star is coming off a game where he had 13 points, nine rebounds, one assist and four blocks while shooting 5/9 from the field and 1/1 from three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time.

He is averaging 17.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.8 blocks per contest while shooting 59.2% from the field in 18 games (15 starts) for Maine.
