On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics will be in Memphis for a showdown with the Grizzlies.
The Celtics are coming off a strong (120-99) win over the Golden State Warriors (at home).
Jaylen Brown led the way with 32 points.

Before Friday’s game, the Celtics had announced that two players were assigned to the G League.
The Maine Celtics wrote (on Thursday): “The @celtics have assigned Max Shulga and Amari Williams to Maine. Both are available for tonight’s game in Long Island.”
Williams and Shulga are both listed as questionable to return to the Celtics for their matchup with the Grizzlies on Friday.
Williams This Season

Williams was the 46th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.
He is averaging 1.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field in 16 games.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote (on February 6): “The Boston Celtics signed Amari Williams to a two-year, $2.64 million deal, which includes a team option for the 2026-27 season, league sources told @hoopshype.”
Shulga This Season

Shulga was the 57th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
He has appeared in five games.
In the G League, Shulga is averaging 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range.
ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote (on March 14): “The Boston Celtics are signing two-way Max Shulga on a standard two-year contract, sources tell ESPN. The Ukrainian guard went to Boston with the No. 57 pick in last June’s NBA draft and has spent the season with Maine in the G League.”
Celtics Right Now

The Celtics have had another strong year with a 46-23 record in 69 games, which has them as the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
They have won three games in a row (and seven out of their last ten).
Following the Grizzlies, the Celtics will return home to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.

The Celtics won the 2024 title over the Dallas Mavericks.
They are coming off a year where they lost to the New York Knicks in the second round.
