The Buffalo Bills did what they had to do and beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in their wild-card game on Sunday, January 11, with a 27-24 win on the road at EverBank Stadium. Now, quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills are just two games away from making it to the championship game.
“There’s still so much room to improve, and I think I just have this extra emphasis,” Allen told reporters before the Jaguars game. “Like I said, points are at a premium in the playoffs, and just trying to do everything I can to give us points.”
“The film was never as good, it’s never as bad as you think it’s going to be,” he added. “Going into it just trusting reads, trusting feet, trusting eyes, trusting my teammates, I think that’s what it kind of comes down to.”

Buffalo Bills’ Next Opponent Is Almost Determined
We know the weekend of the Bills’ next game, but we’ll have to wait until Sunday night, January 11, or even Monday night, January 12, for additional details about the opponent. Still, let’s get into the basic information.
The Bills have three possible opponents in the AFC Divisional Round: the Denver Broncos Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans. Here’s why which team Buffalo goes up against depends on the results of the Sunday night and perhaps Monday night.
If the Patriots beat the Chargers Sunday night, the Bills will play the Denver Broncos in the divisional round. But, if the Los Angeles Chargers beat the New England Patriots, the Bills will play winner of Steelers and Texans game in the divisional round. It’s head-spinning, but at this point in the NFL season, it’s all about math.
Now, we do know more about the date of the game. The divisional round begins on January 17, with two games: one at 4:30 p.m. and the other at 8:15 p.m. The round will continue on January 18, with games at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. So, next weekend will mark the Buffalo Bills’ next game.
The AFC Championship will take place on January 25 at 3 p.m., and the NFC Championship is set for 6:30 p.m. The Super Bowl is scheduled for February 8 at 6:30 p.m. on NBC.

Before the Jags game, Allen talked about what the Buffalo Bills were doing to prepare for the wild-card playoffs.
“As we get into the playoffs, it was a very helpful exercise to do,” Allen said, regarding looking at the bigger picture. “Again, every team that we’re playing here on out is a good team. It’s no different this week; they got a really good D-Line.”
Allen added, “They’re making a lot of plays in the back; they forced a lot of turnovers throughout the year. Making sure that we’re doing everything in our power to make sure that each drive ends in a kick.”
So, now Allen and the Buffalo Bills are another game closer to finally taking home a championship win.
