On Monday, January 5, the Bears made the announcement that Williams set a new Bears single-season passing record against the Lions.
“History for Caleb Williams,” the team posted on social media. “The best quarterback in franchise history,” one followed said on the post. “First of many franchise records,” another added.
The team also shared on X that for the regular season, Williams clocked 3,942 passing yards.
Chicago Bears Take on Green Bay Packers to Start Postseason
It’s an exciting time for the Bears. The team’s wild-card playoff appearance will mark the Bears’ first time in the postseason since 2020.
So, the No. 2 seed Chicago Bears will take on their NFC North rivals, the No. 7 seed Green Bay Packers at home in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs. The game will take place on Saturday, January 10 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Looking at the rest of the league, the Seattle Seahawks are No. 1 seed in the NFC after their Saturday, January 3, with their win over the San Francisco 49ers. In the AFC, the Denver Broncos scored the No. 1 seed.
After the NFL’s wild-card weekend, the divisional round starts on January 17. There, the NFL will host two games, one at 4:30 p.m. and the other at 8:15 p.m. On January 18, games will take place at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The AFC Championship will take place on January 25 at 3 p.m., and the NFC Championship is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The Super Bowl will take place on February 8 at 6:30 p.m. on NBC.
So, the Chicago Bears are just two games away from the final dance. Their first step there is to dance there way through a win over the Packers.
