Baltimore Ravens’ New Draft Sends Bold Warning to the Entire NFL

The Baltimore Ravens already had one of the most dangerous offenses in football, built around two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.

Three picks into the 2026 NFL Draft, the rest of the league has already gotten a very clear message about where things are headed.

According to reporter Sarah Ellison on X, Penn State offensive guard Vega Ioane walked into Baltimore and immediately set the tone: “Nobody is going to touch my quarterback. It’s as simple as that.”

That is not a guy easing into his first NFL press conference. That is someone who knows exactly what his job is. The Ravens selected Ioane with the 14th overall pick.

What Vega Ioane Brings to the Baltimore Ravens Offense

At his introductory press conference, Ioane added to his arrival statement: “When I’m on the field, nobody is going to stand in front of me and survive.” DeCosta said the hope and goal is for him to become one of the best guards in the entire league. Based on what Baltimore has seen so far, that belief is not hard to understand.

Lamar Jackson clearly liked what he saw too. A fan on X pointed out that Ioane happened to be a twin, joking about it in a reply. Jackson responded simply: “Self explanatory, do you see our draft picks so far,” followed by five fire emojis. That kind of reaction from your franchise quarterback, unprompted, says a lot.

Baltimore Ravens 2026 NFL Draft Class Goes Beyond Round One

Baltimore did not stop with Ioane. In the second round at pick 45, the Ravens grabbed Missouri edge rusher Zion Young, a 6-foot-5, 267-pound pass rusher who posted 6.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss in 2025, earning First Team All-SEC honors. Head Coach Jesse Minter called Young “rugged, tough, and physical,” and said the edge room Baltimore now has is one he “couldn’t be more excited about.”

Then in the third round at pick 80, Baltimore added USC wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound target who earned Third-Team All-Big Ten recognition in 2025.

The Ravens needed a big body who can stretch the field, and Lane fits that role on a roster that already has speed at the position.

Three picks in, Baltimore has a dominant interior lineman protecting Jackson, a physical edge rusher coming off the other side, and a tall receiving threat to grow into the offense. With 11 total picks in this draft, the Ravens are not close to done building. The AFC has been warned.
