Baltimore Ravens Fans Brutally Troll Diego Pavia Before Minicamp

Diego Pavia’s road to the NFL has been anything but smooth. The former Vanderbilt quarterback made history, but not in the way he wanted, by becoming the first Heisman Trophy finalist to go undrafted since 2014.

Now, a Baltimore Ravens minicamp invite is his next shot, and the internet is already roasting him for it.

Ravens Give Pavia a Chance

“Vanderbilt undrafted free agent QB Diego Pavia accepted an invitation to next weekend’s minicamp with the Baltimore Ravens, per source,” first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The minicamp is scheduled for May 1–3 at the Ravens’ facility in Owings Mills, Maryland. Pavia will compete against UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano, who is also receiving a tryout.

The biggest concerns surrounding Pavia heading into the draft were his height (listed at 5-foot-10, measured at 5-foot-9⅞ at the Senior Bowl), his age at 24, and some off-field attitude red flags.

Ravens Fans React Online

The moment Adam Schefter posted the news on X, fans flooded the replies, and “mini camp” became the punchline of the hour.

The combination of Pavia’s height and the word “minicamp” was simply too easy for the internet to pass up.

One user fired off, “We all know he’s short, but do they really need to call it Mini Camp?”

Another fan chimed in, “No team needs to put up with this midget’s BS.”

It did not stop there. One commenter posted a side-by-side meme comparing Pavia’s height to Ravens starter Lamar Jackson.

Another fan commented, “Are they looking for a garden gnome?” while another went a completely different direction, writing, “Diego Pavia also accepted an invitation to this weekend’s Wendy’s tryout.”

The attitude shade also came out in full force. One skeptical fan wrote, “Please sign him so I can laugh at the fans who would want him to start over Lamar.”

That comment speaks to a real concern. Pavia’s reputation for being difficult rubbed several NFL front offices the wrong way during the draft process.

Some fans kept it short and ruthless: “Waterboy is a good job,” while others posted edited GIFs and videos mocking everything from his throwing motion to how he might walk into the facility.

One said, “Pavia drops back to pass,” with a funny video.

Still, buried underneath all the jokes is a real story: Pavia has a genuine shot to prove his doubters wrong in Baltimore. Whether he earns a contract is another matter entirely.
