The Baltimore Ravens made a bold front-office move this week. After the 2026 NFL Draft wrapped up, Baltimore wasted no time reshaping its quarterback room. The decision has sparked somewhat hateful reactions online, with fans venting their frustration.
Ravens Reload the QB Room

The Ravens went to work on their quarterback room with the additions of Joe Fagnano and Diego Pavia, signing both undrafted free agents to three-year deals on Tuesday. Fagnano, a 6-foot-3, 226-pound quarterback out of UConn, impressed over 12 starts in 2025, completing passes at a high rate for 3,448 yards with 28 touchdowns and just one interception.
Pavia, the Heisman Trophy runner-up from Vanderbilt, was originally just supposed to try out at Baltimore’s rookie minicamp this weekend, but the Ravens liked what they saw enough to sign him in advance before the tryout even happened. The QB room now features Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley, Fagnano, and Pavia.
Ravens Fans Aren’t Happy, Especially About Pavia
One fan didn’t hold back, bluntly posting “Delete this trash” in response to the news, with zero interest in explaining further.
Another noted that Pavia simply isn’t in the same conversation as Lamar Jackson, writing, “Pavia is not half the quarterback that Jackson is. Take that as you will.”
One frustrated Ravens supporter commented, “As an obvious Lamar and Ravens fan, I’m gutted that Pavia has signed with Baltimore. Not that he will see any action on the field, I just dislike him that much.”
One user took a political spin, writing, “WOW! The Ravens have signed Cryin’ Diego Pavia to a 3 YEAR DEAL before minicamp even began.”
Another sarcastically noted, “The Ravens essentially panicked and handed Diego Pavia a three-year deal before his tryout even started, just to keep him away from other teams.”
One fan called it a front-office panic move, writing, “scrapping the tryout they had scheduled for Friday is the definition of a front-office panic move disguised as securing a gem.”
Another commented, “proving they’re more scared of losing a 5’10 underdog than they are confident in their actual roster.”
One critic noted, “Giving Diego Pavia a 3-year contract before he even steps onto the practice field is a desperate reach that values Vanderbilt magic over the cold reality of NFL mechanics.”
One fan pushed back on the hype, writing, “Ravens wasted a first round pick on him — the Ravens are offering Pavia a UDFA contract to be QB three or four that they could cut at any moment.”
And one fan summed up the chaos best with sharp sarcasm: “The most Ravens thing ever — ‘Undrafted free agent,’ ‘3-year deal’… Now he’s gonna back up Lamar and somehow start Week 8 because the Ravens QB room is cursed by the football gods.”
