Atlanta Hawks Announce Jonathan Kuminga News Before Rockets Game

On Friday night, the Atlanta Hawks will be in Texas to take on the Houston Rockets.

The Hawks are coming off a 135-122 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Joanthan Kuminga finished the win with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal while shooting 7/11 from the field and 2/3 from three-point range in 18 minutes of playing time.

For Friday’s game, the Hawks have announced that they will be without Kuminga.

The Atlanta Hawks wrote: “An @emoryhealthcare injury report for tomorrow’s game at Houston:

Jonathan Kuminga (left knee injury management): Out”

Kuminga had spent the first four and a half seasons of his career with the Golden State Warriors.

Since getting traded to the Hawks, the 23-year-old has played well.

He is averaging 14.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 56.6% from the field and 58.3% from three-point range in six games.

The Hawks are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-31 record in 69 games.

They are the hottest team in the NBA with an 11-game winning streak.

Following the Rockets, the Hawks will return to Atlanta to host the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night at State Farm Arena.

Hawks PR wrote: “The Hawks have won 11 straight games, the longest active winning streak in the NBA, the team’s longest winning streak since the 2014-15 season (franchise-record 19-game winning streak, 12/27/14-1/31/15) and tied for the fourth-longest winning streak in club history.”

Rockets Before Hawks Battle

The Rockets are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 41-27 record in 68 games.

They are coming off two straight losses to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (at home).

Following the Hawks, the Rockets will host the Miami Heat on Saturday.
