Despite his showing on Tuesday, Acuña Jr. has gotten off to a slower start to the year.
Manager Walt Weiss spoke about the former MVP on Tuesday (via Alison Mastrangelo of WSB-TV).
Weiss: “He just hasn’t found that consistency where he gets rolling… It it will be loud when he does. I think he’s close, I do… He just hasn’t been clicking on a daily basis, but I do think that he’s real close… We can dream big if Ronald gets rolling.”

They are at the top of the National League East with a 21-9 record in 30 games.
At home, the Braves are 11-5 in the 16 games they have played at Truist Park.
