Atlanta Braves Announce Roster Decision With Former All-Star Before Phillies Game

On Friday night, the Atlanta Braves will open up a three-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

The Braves come into the series after taking two out of three over the Miami Marlins.

This past week, the Braves announced several roster moves with Martin Perez.

Jon Heyman New York Post Sports wrote (on April 15): “Martin Perez cleared waivers yesterday, elected free agency and has signed back with Braves on a minor league deal”

That said, the Braves have now brought back Perez to their MLB roster (ahead of Friday’s game).

The Braves wrote (via X): “The #Braves today selected LHP Martín Pérez to the major league roster.”

He will also be their starting pitcher.
