Anthony Edwards Injury Status: Timberwolves Full Report for Nuggets Matchup

The Minnesota Timberwolves were cruising in this first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, holding a 3-1 lead and looking like the better team. Then Game 4 turned into a nightmare, and now they are heading into a closeout game at home without most of their backcourt.

Edwards went up for a block against Cam Johnson and hyperextended his leg badly on the landing. He was helped off the floor by teammates and never came back. An MRI later confirmed a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise, with no structural damage. The team placed him on a week-to-week timeline.

Donte DiVincenzo also went down in that same Game 4 with a torn Achilles tendon, ending his season entirely. He had surgery in New York the following day. Losing two starting guards in one game, even a winning one, is brutal. And now with Game 6 here, the injury report has only gotten worse.

Timberwolves Injury Report for Game 6 vs Nuggets

  • Anthony Edwards – OUT – Left Knee Bone Bruise
  • Donte DiVincenzo – OUT – Right Achilles Tendon Repair
  • Ayo Dosunmu – Questionable – Right Calf Soreness
  • Bones Hyland – Available – Left Knee Soreness

Dosunmu has been Minnesota’s most important guard since the injuries hit. He scored a career-high 43 points in Game 4, going 13-for-17 from the field, 5-for-5 from three, and 12-for-12 from the free-throw line. Him being a game-time decision is genuinely worrying for Wolves fans.

Hyland being available is a small win for Minnesota. He has given them decent minutes off the bench and can at least keep possessions moving. But if Dosunmu sits, the Wolves are looking at Mike Conley and Terrence Shannon Jr. carrying a heavy load in a closeout game, which is far from ideal.

Nuggets Injury Report for Game 6 vs Timberwolves

  • Aaron Gordon – Questionable – Left Calf Tightness
  • Peyton Watson – OUT – Right Hamstring Strain

Gordon has missed two of the last three games and was visibly limited even when he did play. Without him, Denver loses their best perimeter defender and a key piece of their half-court offense alongside Jokic.

Charania described it as a pretty bad calf strain, adding that Denver’s concern is protecting Gordon from himself given his tendency to push through leg injuries.

Watson has not played a single minute this entire series and remains sidelined.
Minnesota still leads 3-2 and needs just one win to advance. Nikola Jokic posted 27 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds in Game 5 to keep Denver alive, and with the Wolves potentially down three guards, he will be the most dangerous player on the floor again.

One win at home is all Minnesota needs, but right now, nothing about this feels easy.
