Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams Goes Viral with Scrimmage Highlights

Ryan Coleman-Williams has been one of the most popular and polarizing college athletes since he first burst onto the scene in 2024 as a 17-year-old freshman phenom for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

After a stellar freshman campaign, Coleman-Williams saw his production take a dip in 2025 as drops plagued the former five-star talent.

Now at the ripe old age of 19, Ryan has seen significant change since we last saw him on the gridiron. First, his engagement was made public. Then it was announced that he was honoring his mother’s side of the family by including Coleman in his last name.

Currently, Coleman-Williams and the Crimson Tide are partaking in spring football practice, and on Friday, Alabama hit the field for its first scrimmage, and Ryan did not disappoint

Ryan Coleman-Williams Dominates in Scrimmage

In a viral social media leak, Coleman-Williams is seen dominating the Alabama secondary for a massive day in the Tide’s first scrimmage of the spring.

In this clip, Coleman-Williams is seen carving up the Alabama defense and making acrobatic catches over defenders and scoring multiple touchdowns.

It should be noted that it appears Ryan is doing most of his damage against five-star freshman cornerback Jorden Edmonds, but still, he looks impressive nonetheless.

Ryan Coleman-Williams Set to Return to “Hollywood” Status

Coleman-Williams is often referred to by the nickname “Hollywood.” But after struggling in 2025, that nickname lost some of its luster for fans.

As a freshman in 2025, Coleman-Williams hauled in 48 catches for 865 yards and 8 touchdowns. In 2026, while having one more reception (49), Ryan had just 689 receiving yards and only 4 touchdowns.

If Ryan can continue to look like he did during Friday’s scrimmage, the nickname Hollywood may begin to roll off the lips a little easier.

Alabama HC Kalen DeBoer Spoke Highly of all Alabama WRs

Following Friday’s scrimmage, Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke very highly of the Alabama wide receivers.

“They made a lot of plays today. They did a really nice job making the ones that are hard, and sometimes that’s a catch in contact, but they hit some explosives today.

Despite losing Germie Bernard to the NFL and Isiah Horton to the transfer portal, Alabama appears to be in good shape at the wide receiver position entering the 2026 season. Led by Coleman-Williams, this group could turn into a position of strength for the Crimson Tide, which is currently in the midst of a heated quarterback battle between Austin Mack and Keelon Russell.
