According to FanDuel, Michigan is currently favored by 8.5 points heading into tonight’s matchup. The sizable spread reflects Michigan’s consistency and depth, but Alabama has proven it can exceed expectations when its offense is clicking like it was against Texas Tech when the Tide knocked down 19 3-point shots.
Although Michigan is a sizeable favorite, Alabama’s offensive prowess and newfound presense on the defensive end, could be enough to make this closer than the odds makers believe.

If Nate Oats and the Tide were able to pull out a win, it would without question be one of the biggest upsets in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan has been one of the more consistent teams this season, losing just three games all year. Also, Labaron Philon and the Alabama guards have to be able to consistently knock down outside shots and make good decisions when attacking the rim against the elite size of the Wolverines.
While Alabama doesn’t need a perfect game to be able to pull off the upset, it has to be pretty close to one.
