Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team are gearing up for one of the most important recruiting weekends of the spring, as A-Day is expected to bring a wave of elite prospects to Tuscaloosa.
According to On3’s Sam Spiegelman, Alabama has already hosted dozens of blue-chip recruits this spring, and that momentum is only building as the annual spring game approaches.
Several priority targets across multiple positions are expected on campus, including five-star quarterbacks, elite skill players, and future defensive standouts.
Five-Star QB Elijah Haven Nearing Decision
The biggest name to watch this weekend is Elijah Haven, the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the country.
Haven is wrapping up his final round of visits, which included stops at Auburn and Georgia before returning to Alabama for A-Day. This marks his fourth visit to Tuscaloosa since October.
With a decision expected by the end of April, Alabama appears to be trending in a strong direction.
“My family and I think so highly of the program… I feel like they didn’t miss a beat,” Haven said.
Alabama Trending for Elite OL Ismael Camara
Spiegelman also pointed out that Alabama is making a great impression on one of the top interior offensive linemen in the country, Ismael Camara.
Camara has been in consistent communication with the Alabama offensive line coach, Adrian Klemm.
The elite trench prospect expects to be back in Tuscaloosa before the end of April, and describes Alabama in a way Tide fans will love.
“Alabama and contender go together like peanut butter and jelly… ‘The Standard’ starts in Tuscaloosa.”
Playmaking RB Trey Martin Loves Alabama
At running back, Alabama is setting the pace for Trey Martin, one of the top prospects in the country.
Martin has taken visits to several SEC programs this spring, including LSU, Ole Miss, and Florida, but Alabama continues to stand out.
“Everything excites me about ‘Bama… it’s a winning program,” Martin said.
Heading into official visit season this summer, Alabama is widely viewed as the team to beat in his recruitment, but you can never count out the home-state Tigers of LSU.
Alabama Pushing to Flip WR Benny Easter Jr.
Just because someone is committed to another school doesn’t mean other programs will not continue to fight for that signature. This is proven true by Alabama’s relentless pursuit of four-star wide receiver Benny Easter Jr., who is currently committed to Texas Tech.
Easter is expected to visit Tuscaloosa later this month before returning for an official visit in June. Alabama is battling programs like Ohio State and LSU for the current Red Raider commit.
Wide receivers coach Derrick Nix has made Easter a clear priority, and that consistent communication is making an impact.
“They’re making me a priority… all the talks have helped me get closer,” Easter said.
A-Day Could Be Massive for Alabama Recruiting Momentum
There are many other elite prospects set to be on campus over the next few weeks, but A-Day this weekend could serve as a major turning point for the class of 2027.
Between a potential commitment from Elijah Haven, strong positioning for Trey Martin, and flip opportunities like Benny Easter Jr., the Crimson Tide is building serious momentum under DeBoer’s leadership.
The buzz surrounding this weekend is palpable, and if things go as planned, Alabama could have some tangible recruiting wins.
