Alabama Football Announces Golden Flake A-Day Details for 2026

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team is entering Week 2 of spring camp in Tuscaloosa under third-year head coach Kalen DeBoer.

As tradition for the Tide, as spring practice concludes, fans are invited to the annual A-Day Game festivities. On Tuesday, the university released the details surrounding the event.

As in years past, the event is expected to provide fans with their first extended look at the 2026 roster, including early enrollees and key position battles heading into the fall. A-Day traditionally functions as Alabama’s 15th and final spring practice, often featuring a scrimmage-style format or modified game setting.

When is Alabama’s A-Day Game

The official date and time for A-Day is April 11 at 1 p.m. CT, and admission will be free for the Crimson Tide faithful.  Fans should expect a two-hour scrimmage from the Alabama team.

The university also announced that the gates at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium will open at noon, with fans encouraged to enter through Gates 14–17, 21–24, 34, and 47–53. Alabama’s clear bag policy will be enforced, and all attendees will pass through metal detectors upon entry. Additionally, the first 5,000 fans will receive a special limited-edition commemorative poster.

Other Fan Activities

Signature traditions like the Walk of Fame ceremony at Denny Chimes and the Walk of Champions will remain part of the schedule, continuing long-standing program traditions.

According to the release, the annual Walk of Fame will honor the 2025 Alabama football team captains at Denny Chimes starting at 11 a.m. CT. Joining Coach DeBoer will be quarterback Ty Simpson, offensive lineman Parker Brailsford, defensive lineman Tim Keenan, and linebacker Deontae Lawson to have their handprints and footprints etched in the walkway leading up to Denny Chimes.

Following the Walk of Fame, fans can experience the Walk of Champions as the team enters the stadium starting at 12:45 p.m. CT.

Looking Ahead for Kalen DeBoer, Alabama

With Kalen DeBoer entering another pivotal offseason, the 2026 edition of A-Day will offer key insight for the Alabama fans into the evolving roster and identity of their football program.

Critical position battles will also be on full display for fans, such as the quarterback battle between Austin Mack and Keelon Russell, along with competition along the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

Pressure is mounting in Tuscaloosa, but a positive showing at A-Day could provide fans with more hope for the 2026 season.
