With less than two months left in the season, it’s worth noting that a former Yankees pitcher is currently playing for the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
Ian Hamilton has gone 2-2 with a 3.16 ERA in 30 games for the Gwinnett Stripers.

Hamilton was picked in the 11th round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Chicago White Sox (before one with the Minnesota Twins).
The 31-year-old then played part of three seasons for the Yankees.

With New York, Hamilton went 5-4 with a 3.45 ERA in 110 games.
He also appeared in two MLB playoff games during the 2024 season.
This year, Hamilton got a brief chance with the Braves (four games).
The Braves wrote (via X) on July 3: “The #Braves today recalled RHP Anthony Molina to Atlanta after optioning RHP James Karinchak to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game. The club also returned LHP Danny Young from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list, and designated RHP Ian Hamilton for assignment.”
