2-year-old girl dies after being struck by driver in Boulder parking lot

A 2-year-old girl died Monday after being hit by a driver in a parking lot in the 700 block of 29th Street in Boulder, police said.

At 5:20 p.m. Monday, police were called to an apartment complex in the 700 block of 29th Street after witnesses said a person driving a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup had struck a child, according to a news release.

Man dies in morning shooting on East Colfax Avenue in Denver

A witness drove the injured child and her father to the hospital, where she died a short time later.

An initial investigation indicates the girl and her father were walking through a parking lot when she was struck.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to the release.
