2 wounded in Austin drive-by shooting

A 50-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were wounded in a shooting Friday morning in Austin, Chicago police said.

The man and woman were standing outside along the 400 block of North Pine Avenue about 9:37 a.m. when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired multiple shots, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

The woman suffered gunshot wounds to her abdomen and left arm and was taken to the same hospital listed in critical condition.


No one has been arrested, police said.
