2 teens shot in Greater Grand Crossing

Two teens were shot in Greater Grand Crossing Wednesday afternoon, according to Chicago police.

An 18-year-old and 13-year-old were inside an apartment building in the 400 block of Winneconna Parkway at 4:05 p.m. when someone in the hallway fired into the apartment, police said.

The elder boy was shot in the neck, clavicle and back and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. The 13-year-old boy was grazed on both calves and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.


No one is in custody.
