2 in custody after 12-year-old grazed by gunfire in Austin

Two persons of interest were taken into custody after a 12-year-old was grazed by a bullet in Austin on Tuesday night, according to Chicago police.

The boy was riding in the back of a vehicle in the 900 block of North Leamington at 6:50 p.m. when he was grazed in the head, police said. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in fair condition.


Two people of interest were taken into custody by responding officers, police said.
