15-year-old boy critically wounded in Bronzeville shooting

A 15-year-old boy was critically wounded in a shooting early Thursday in Bronzeville on the South Side.

Around 3:20 a.m., the teen was found on the ground in the 4800 block of South Calumet Avenue with the gunshot wound to the facial area, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.


Area 1 detectives were investigating.
