Do you think Zendaya has ever been tempted to tell Law Roach “you know what, I think I’m just going to wear jeans and a t-shirt for this photocall?” I mean, we expect style excellence from her, and Law Roach has absolutely changed the way all actresses dress for promotional tours. But the expectations on them are crazy! I sort of wish Zendaya would actually wear some jeans or Millennial normcore for a few photocalls, just as a style reboot! (She did wear a t-shirt for a Spider-Man photocall, but it was literally part of the same theme-dressing she and Law are obsessed with.)
Anyway, here are some photos of the big Paris photocall for The Odyssey on Tuesday. Zendaya wore an archival 1997 Givenchy (designed by Alexander McQueen), with a Philip Treacy headpiece. This look seemingly had moving parts – at one point, Zendaya removed the exaggerated sleeves (I don’t know what they’re called) and the Treacy headpiece.
Additional fashion IDs… Anne Hathaway wore Prada (I love that dress, such a great color), Charlize Theron wore Tom Ford (by Haider Ackermann) and Lupita Nyong’o wore Armani Prive. Lupita looks fantastic!! Charlize has legs for days.
