Whether that has caused <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/amy-duggar-king-thinks-her-uncle-is-paying-off-kendra-caldwell.html/”>rifts within the Duggar family</a> remains to be seen, but the latest sex abuse scandal has reignited interest in the family’s previous sex crimes arrest. Emails that Anna Duggar sent to Josh Duggar while he was awaiting trial in 2021 have surfaced. In them, Anna makes it clear she resents the Duggar siblings who made public statements about his arrest and his crimes. Does she regret that take now, though? It doesn’t seem like it.</p>

<p id=”par-2_54″>Joseph Duggar isn’t the only Duggar family member to have received emails while being held at the Washington County Detention Center. <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DWpADMakd4a/”>Elle Bee</a> has shared emails between Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna Duggar, when he was held in the same lockup years earlier. The emails suggest that Anna has opinions about her in-laws.</p>
<p id=”par-3_57″>In a now-public jailhouse email, Anna Duggar told her husband that the family members who were making public statements and speaking out following his arrest were making things worse. In the email, dated May 1, 2021, Anna references family members in the “public eye,” but didn’t name any names. She went on to claim they weren’t “helping.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_52″>Jill Dillard and her husband, Derick Dillard, were among the first to issue a statement, saying they learned of the arrest at the same time as the public. They released their statement via Entertainment Tonight on April 30. They shared a more in-depth statement when more information about Josh’s charges was released.</p>
<p id=”par-5_63″>Several other Duggar family members issued statements condemning Josh Duggar and his actions, though most were issued after May 1, 2021. While Anna Duggar has remained in Arkansas since Josh Duggar’s arrest and eventual conviction, she doesn’t appear to be close to her sisters-in-law. While all the other Duggars have appeared in photos together, to varying degrees, Anna seems to keep her distance.</p>

While Joseph received several emails from his wife, Kendra Caldwell, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/anna-duggar-advises-joseph-duggar-not-to-talk-about-anything-legal-in-jailhouse-correspondence.html/”>Anna also sent an email </a>supporting the accused pedophile.</p>

Anna clearly leans into her knowledge of the criminal justice system and seems more than happy to support yet another Duggar as they await trial. Anna even offers to send her wayward brother-in-law money. It is unclear how much additional contact she’s had with Joseph since he posted bail.</p>
<p id=”par-8_49″>Joseph is due back in a Bay County court later this month to be officially arraigned. Until then, he is living in Arkansas, though he’s been keeping a low profile. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/joseph-and-jim-bob-duggar-spotted-heading-home-after-he-makes-bail.html/”>Jim Bob Duggar flew to Florida </a>earlier this month to post his son’s $600,000 bond and fly him home.</p>
