Kelly, Danny Masterson are all in prison. Kevin Spacey, Jonathan Majors, and Roseanne Barr have all lost roles and struggled to get cast after headline-making scandals. But only of those celebs appears on a new list of the most canceled celebrities from digital entertainment platform <a href=”https://jb.com/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>JB.com</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-3_66″>To come up with the list of most controversial stars, experts “examined how many negative articles were written about each celebrity and how much people argue about them on Reddit. Additionally, the study also tracked how often people publicly called for someone to be canceled on social media. By combining all these factors, each public figure received final ‘canceled’ scores, with higher scores meaning more backlash.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_68″>The number one figure on the list is unlikely to shock anyone. Kanye West, or Ye, has more than 68 million negative media mentions related to his bizarre and provocative behavior. Most recently, he was dropped as the headliner for the Wireless Festival in the U.K. due to his history of pro-Nazi and anti-semitic remarks. Some people even called for him to be <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/kanye-west-banned-entering-uk-concerns-wireless-festival-appearance.html/”>banned from the U.K.</a> entirely. </p>
<p id=”par-5_81″>“Kanye’s situation is different from most celebrities who get canceled,” the CEO of JB.com said in a statement. “He’s not just dealing with angry tweets or lost endorsements anymore. The U.K. government actually denied him travel documents, and France’s interior minister was actively working to ban him from performing. The mayor of Marseille said Kanye wasn’t welcome and called him a promoter of Nazism. This is the first time we’re seeing governments step in rather than just social media or sponsors.”</p>

Lighting rod tech CEO Elon Musk is in the no. 2 spot, with 49.9 million negative media mentions. <em>Aquaman</em>’s Amber Heard lands in third place, ahead of her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. <a href=”https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/3VnNDMYzttcGgBNQB0BswtH/amber-heard-vs-the-internet-an-organised-smear-campaign”>Investigations have found</a> that Heard was the subject of a massive online trolling campaign that helped turn public opinion against her.</p>
<p id=”par-7_86″>Manosphere personality Andrew Tate is the fifth-most-canceled public figure, followed by influencer and YouTuber turned pro wrestler Logan Paul. <em>Harry Potter </em>author JK Rowling is the only other woman on the list other than Heard. She’s faced backlash for her vocal opposition to transgender rights. Makeup artist and beauty vlogger James Charles has had multiple controversies over the years, including allegations that he sent sexually explicit messages to underage boys. He <a href=”http://interviewmagazine.com/culture/james-charles-cancellation-allegations”>recently faced blowback</a> after going on a rant about a laid-off Spirit Airlines employee’s GoFundMe. </p>
<p id=”par-8_73″>Ezra Miller’s erratic behavior made headlines in 2022 and 2023, when he was arrested in both Vermont and Hawaii and also accused of grooming an underage activist. Miller’s controversies contributed to <em>The Flash </em>bombing at the box office. He hasn’t appeared in a movie since then. Finally, there’s Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was acquitted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges after a high-profile trial but is serving time in prison for prostitution-related crimes. </p>
