<p id=”par-1_79″>Meredith Marks is dredging up the drama surrounding cast member <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/heather-gay-admits-rhoslc-black-eye-storyline-didnt-play-well.html/”>Heather Gay’s black eye</a>. During season three of <em>The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City</em>, Gay woke up with a black eye. While she denied knowing what happened for a year, Gay eventually revealed that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/rhoslc-alum-jen-shah-released-prison-not-completely-free.html/”>former cast member Jen Shah</a> gave her the shiner. Marks said she found it hypocritical that Gay called her a liar this season when her story about the eye allegedly got people in trouble.</p>

<p id=”par-2_42″>During a group trip to San Diego, Gay greeted her castmates in the morning with a black eye. To the shock of the other women, she said she didn’t know how she got it. She maintained this story at that season’s reunion.</p>
<p id=”par-3_49″>“I don’t know how I got the black eye,” she said at the season three reunion. “I blacked out. I don’t know what happened. … I cannot speak to anything other than I walked to my room and I blacked out and I woke up with a black eye.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_26″>At the next season’s reunion, Gay admitted that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/brandi-glanville-rhobh-speculates-jen-shah-heather-gay-black-eye.html/”>Shah gave her the black eye</a>. She said she felt too <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jen-shah-bravo-comeback-andy-cohen-final-verdict-prison-release.html/”>scared of Shah</a> to reveal the truth.</p>
<p id=”par-5_32″>“I had been covering for her for three years, I wasn’t going to stop at the black eye,” she said. “I was that in, and I was too scared to say anything.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_8″>She apologized to everyone for concealing the truth.</p>
<p id=”par-7_48″>“I’m sorry to you, I’m sorry to you guys, I’m sorry to the network, I’m sorry to the audience,” she said, adding, “I didn’t know how to navigate it myself. I knew that it was becoming bigger and more than I could handle. It was a horrible situation.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_35″>In a recent conversation with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/rhoc-alum-tamra-judge-explains-the-1-thing-she-has-in-common-with-kelly-dodd.html/”><em>RHOC </em>star Tamra Judge</a> on the <em>Two T’s in a Pod</em> podcast, Marks discussed Gay’s problems with her during season six. Gay called Marks out for accusing her of lying.</p>
<p id=”par-9_82″>“Heather’s whole bone to pick with me this season was I said that she lied, which I actually … I said in the scene, ‘It was a mistake, I didn’t mean to say that,’ because I didn’t mean to call Heather a liar in that moment,” she told Judge. “Now in retrospect, having seen everything, maybe things have changed a bit, but the big issue was her, me saying ‘you lied,’ when we know she lied about a black eye for years.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_10″>She revealed that people got in trouble for the situation.</p>
<p id=”par-11_28″>“A lot of people were, you know, looked into because of it,” she said. “She got a lot of people in a lot of trouble because of it.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_14″>Upon reflection, Marks said she should have doubled down and called Gay a liar.</p>
