<p id=”par-3_28″>Now, Cohen is promising <em>RHOM </em>fans that the Florida-set series will not meet the same fate as <em>The Real Housewives of Dallas </em>or <em>The Real Housewives of Dubai. </em></p>
<p id=”par-4_23″>“It is not a cancellation,” Cohen told Page Six’s <a href=”https://pagesix.com/2026/03/31/entertainment/andy-cohen-doesnt-want-rhom-on-pause-speaks-on-shows-future/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Virtual Reali-Tea</a> at <em>The</em> <em>Real Housewives of Rhode Island</em> premiere party on March 30. </p>
<p id=”par-5_19″>The <em>Watch What Happens Live </em>host acknowledged <em>RHOM</em>’s enthusiastic fanbase, who have made their <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/rhom-canceled-fans-justice-bravo-show.html/”>displeasure with the pause</a> known. </p>
<p id=”par-6_27″>“We gotta get <em>Miami </em>back and then everybody will calm down. The fact that people are so passionate about the show ultimately makes me happy,” he said.</p>
<p id=”par-7_30″>“I just want more people to watch it … If it was really up to me, we would be in production on everything all at once,” the <em>Housewives </em>producer added. </p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-the-real-housewives-of-miami-struggled-with-low-viewership”>‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ struggled with low viewership</h2>
<p id=”par-8_45″>While <em>RHOM </em>has a loyal group of viewers, it’s struggled to match the popularity of other <em>Housewives </em>franchises such as <em>The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City </em>and <em>The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. </em>It’s the least-watched of all the <em>Housewives </em>shows, according to <a href=”https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/bravo-puts-the-real-housewives-of-miami-on-pause-1236692860/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Variety</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-9_61″>Cohen argued that taking a break from filming could benefit <em>RHOM. </em>Bravo’s schedule is currently crowded with new and returning shows, including <em>The Valley </em>Season 3, a rebooted <em>Ladies of London, </em>and the latest <em>Housewives </em>series, <em>RHORI. </em>Giving the <em>RHOM </em>cast a break and picking up filming closer to when a new season might eventually air just makes sense, he argued. </p>
<p id=”par-10_66″>“By the way, there’s also something to be said for, if they know they don’t have a slot for it for the next year and two months because we have all these other <em>Housewives </em>that are in production or … are slotted, then doesn’t it make sense to wait six months and then shoot it later so that it’s closer to when it airs?” he said. </p>
<p id=”par-11_35″>Still, fans are understandably nervous about <em>RHOM</em>’s future. The show previously went in pause in 2013, after season 3. It took eight years for it to return, with season 4 premiering on Peacock in 2021. </p>
<p id=”par-12_75″>While Cohen remains optimistic about the return of <em>RHOM, </em>there could be major changes if the show does come back for season 8. Drama among the current stars – including a defamation lawsuit Alexia Nepola’s ex-husband Todd Nepola filed against Bravo – could lead to a massive cast shakeup, similar to the network’s decision to inject new life into <em>RHONY </em>with season 16 in 2023. That reboot has met with a mixed reaction from fans. </p>
