<p id=”par-1_22″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/snooki-ghost-hunting-new-series-paranormal-rookie.html/”>Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi</a> is getting some support from her old friend Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola as she deals with a serious health issue. </p>
<p id=”par-2_26″>On Friday, the <em>Jersey Shore </em>alum took to <a href=”https://www.tiktok.com/@snooki/video/7609009909417528606?lang=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TikTok</a> to share that she’d been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer after a getting a cone biopsy. </p>
<p id=”par-3_36″>“It came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma. Obviously not the news that I was hoping for,” Snooki said in the video. “But also not the worst news just because they caught it so early.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_47″>A few weeks ago, Snooki opened up about how her doctor had found cancerous cells on her cervix, which required additional testing. While the biopsy results were not what the mom of three had hoped for, she was glad she had gone in for a pap smear.</p>
<p id=”par-5_63″>“I’m 38 years old and I’ve been struggling with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/a-pap-smear-helped-sally-jessy-raphael-pick-her-signature-eyeglasses.html/”>abnormal pap smears</a> for three or four years now, and now look at me,” she said. “Instead of putting it off because I didn’t want to go, because I was hurt and scared, I just went and did it. And it was there, cancer is in there. But it’s stage 1 and it’s curable.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_20″>Snooki’s announcement was meet with an outpouring of support from her followers, including from one of her <em>Jersey Shore </em>costars. </p>

<p id=”par-8_36″>Many other commenters shared their own stories of being diagnosed with cervical cancer. In her video, the <em>Jersey Shore Family Vacation </em>star said she appreciated hearing from other women who were facing a similar health challenge.</p>
<p id=”par-9_71″>“It’s very common in women. So let’s comment below on all of us going through this … a lot of women go through it silently without anyone to talk to and they’re scared by themselves. And that was me until I decided to upload the video of what is happening with me,” she said. “And we had a plethora of ladies comment below to say, ‘Girl, I’m in the same boat.’”</p>
<p id=”par-10_61″>According to the <a href=”https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/cervical-cancer/about/key-statistics.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>American Cancer Society</a>, about 13,490 cases of invasive cervical cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2026, and 4,200 people will die from the disease. Cervical cancer rates and deaths used to be much higher, but regular testing has significantly reduced rates of the disease. HPV vaccination also appears to have <a href=”https://www.musc.edu/content-hub/News/2024/11/27/Cervical-cancer-deaths-in-young-women-plummet-after-introduction-of-HPV-vaccine” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>reduced cancer rates</a> in young women.</p>
<p id=”par-11_35″>“I appreciate all the love and all the DMs you guys have sent me,” Snooki added. “I love you so much. Everything is going to be find. I’m going to tackle this and it done.”</p>

<p id=”par-12_23″>The MTV personality went on to urge women to not avoid getting their annual pap smears done, even if they find them unpleasant. </p>
<p id=”par-13_36″>“So get your appointments done, b*tches! I’m telling you!” she said. “Once you go to stage 2, then you have to do chemo … nobody wants to do that! It’s scary. So get your appointments done.”</p>
<p id=”par-14_34″>Snooki said she still needed to meet with an oncologist to develop her treatment plan. She said she’d likely have to get a hysterectomy, but she was hopeful she’d be able to avoid chemotherapy. </p>
<p id=”par-15_22″>“2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to,” she shared. “But also, could be worse. Could be very much worse.”</p>
