She’s tasked with playing both the innocent White Swan and the darker, more sensual Black Swan — both avatars for characters competing for the love of a prince.</p>
<p id=”par-8_40″>Nina, who is somewhat reserved, struggles with playing the Black Swan. As she begins to dance, however, she realizes her understudy (Mila Kunis) may be trying to steal her part — and a dark side of Nina starts to emerge.</p>
<p id=”par-9_40″>Millipied left his partner at the time, Isabella Boylston, a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, to begin a relationship with Portman. He appeared in the film as one of its dancers while simultaneously choreographing and helping train Portman.</p>
