<p id=”par-1_22″>Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh from<em> <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/90-day-fiance-season-12-couples.html/”>90 Day Fiancé </a></em>are keeping their spirits up as they face health challenges and visa issues. </p>
<p id=”par-2_33″>In May, Jenny, 68, announced that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jenny-slatten-90-day-fiance-als-diagnosis.html/”>she’d been diagnosed with ALS</a>, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, in late 2025. Also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, ALS is progressive, fatal neurological disease with no cure. </p>
<p id=”par-3_30″>On July 27, the pair – who are currently appearing on season 3 of <em>90 Day: The Last Resort </em>– took to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DbTY2W8htDE/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> to share some news with their followers. </p>
<p id=”par-4_25″>“Many of you have been asking about Jenny’s health and my visa, so we wanted to give you a small update,” they captioned the post. </p>

<p id=”par-5_26″>In the accompanying video, Sumit, 38, first addressed social media rumors about the toll the disease had taken on his wife, whom he married in 2021. </p>
<p id=”par-6_49″>“She is still able to do like, walking, talking, everything and she is not depending completely on anyone or on me,” he said. “What you see on some pages that are posting that she is in a hospital bed and unable to do anything – that is a lie.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_21″>“We are still hoping and praying that there will be a solution, there will be a treatment for this,” he added.</p>
<p id=”par-8_76″>With Jenny by his side, Sumit also shared that he and his wife were working on getting him a visa that would allow him to travel to the U.S. with her so she could get care. The couple currently live in India and Sumit had previously been reluctant to begin the lengthy process of applying for a U.S. visa. Her daughter recently said the couple were trying to get Sumit approved for an emergency tourist visa. </p>
<p id=”par-9_10″>“We are not sitting idle,” Sumit said. “We are trying.”</p>

<p id=”par-10_20″>Jenny did not speak much in the video, but toward the end, she did tell followers that she was “OK.” </p>
<p id=”par-11_18″>While Jenny’s voice was noticeably altered, she assured people that she is “able to take care of myself.” </p>
<p id=”par-12_11″>“With help from him,” she added, tapping Sumit on the arm. </p>
<p id=”par-13_39″>In the caption, the couple also gave a shout-out to fellow <em>90 Day </em>star Sarper Güven. Sarper, who also appears on this season of <em>The Last Resort, </em>has turned several of his recent stand-up shows into fundraisers for Jenny. </p>
<p id=”par-14_55″>“We also want to say a very special thank you to Sarper for dedicating his stand-up comedy show to support Jenny’s ALS fundraiser,” they wrote. “Thank you to everyone who came to his show, bought tickets, and even gifted tickets to your friends and family to help Jenny. Your kindness means the world to us.” </p>
