<p id=”par-1_25″>Reports that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/inside-taylor-swifts-rhode-island-home-bachelorette-party-held.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Taylor Swift</a> and Travis Kelce are getting married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden have only amped up in recent weeks. </p>
<p id=”par-2_50″>While some believe that the date and venue were leaked in order to distract from the real date and place where <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-swift-travis-kelce-became-americas-favorite-couple.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>the pair</a> will say “I do,” there have been several clues that MSG over the July Fourth weekend is actually when and where the big wedding will happen. </p>
<p id=”par-3_84″>In addition to an event company’s request that the streets around Madison Square Garden be closed between July 2 and July 4 for a July 3 event, there have been trucks seen arriving at the venue and unloading equipment. <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2026/06/30/taylor-swift-travis-kelce-building-castle-for-wedding-celebration/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ</a> reported that crews were seen unloading large boxes and items labeled “Garden Party 1 (Scenic)” and “GP.” Sources say that there is also a gigantic castle being built inside MSG, and layers of drapes are going up all around the arena. </p>

We’re told workers have been tirelessly hanging fabric from the ceiling and even wrapping the perimeter of the arena floor as they build out Taylor and Travis Kelce’s vision. </p>
<p id=”par-5_43″>“The makeover is so extensive, sources say it’s become clear Taylor didn’t simply rent MSG — she rented a giant, windowless space she could completely reinvent. In fact, we’re told guests will walk inside and quickly forget they’re even in the world-famous arena.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_30″>If you think it’s an unusual choice to have their wedding at Madison Square Garden, the singer and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>NFL</a> player wouldn’t be the first people to get married there. </p>

We’d have a ceremony just before the concert, right there on the stage. Then a concert, then a party afterward at the rooftop lounge of the Waldorf Astoria.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_81″>MSG was also the site of The Unification Church’s mass wedding in 1982, in which more than 2,000 couples said their vows. As <a href=”https://www.nytimes.com/1982/07/02/nyregion/4000-followers-of-moon-wed-at-the-garden.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The New York Times</a> reported, “The floor of the arena, carpeted in white for the occasion, was a sea of bridegrooms dressed identically in blue suits and brides in identical lace and satin gowns made by the church … 6,000 guests attended the mass ceremony, including parents, friends, and invited guests who had passed through metal detectors before entering.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_16″>Swift and Kelce’s big day is thought to cost in the neighborhood of $10 million. </p>
<p id=”par-11_68″>Speaking on behalf of <a href=”https://vettory.org/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vettory</a>, financial expert Professor Rob Wilson told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “I think a realistic estimate is $10 million, being in New York and Madison Square Garden in particular sets it up for commercial success and sponsors in the heart of the city. Security alone will run into half a million to $750,000; adding in the venue, fashion, transportation, and accommodation, the bill rises very quickly.”</p>
