<p id=”par-1_20″>Bridget Moynahan is celebrating her former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blue-bloods-what-is-used-as-inspiration-for-the-cases-on-the-show.html/”><em>Blue Bloods</em></a><em> </em>co-star (and onscreen father) Tom Selleck, who turned 81 on January 29. </p>
<p id=”par-2_32″>“Happy Birthday to the best TV Dad!” the former model captioned a photo of herself and the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blue-bloods-star-tom-selleck-opens-up-about-taking-a-break-from-fame-after-magnum-p-i.html/”><em>Magnum P.I.</em> star</a> on the set of the CBS drama that she shared on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DUGmf9gCWKu/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-3_41″> From 2010 to 2014, Moynahan and Selleck starred in the fan-favorite drama about a family with deep ties to New York City law enforcement. He played police commissioner Frank Reagan, while she portrayed his daughter, assistant district attorney Erin Reagan.</p>
<p id=”par-4_29″>Selleck also got a special shout-out from Donnie Wahlberg, who played Erin’s brother Danny Reagan on <em>Blue Bloods. </em>(He reprises the role in the new CBS series <em>Boston Blue.</em>) </p>

<p id=”par-6_39″>How will Selleck celebrate turning 81? The actor isn’t on social media, but last year, he marked his birthday with a quiet dinner with his wife, Jillie Mack, and their daughter Hannah, in Thousand Oaks, California, according to <a href=”http://people.com/tom-selleck-steps-out-with-wife-jillie-celebratory-dinner-on-his-80th-birthday-8784260″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-7_34″>While Selleck has taken a break from acting <em>Blue Bloods </em>ended more than a year ago, he’s said in the past that he hopes his age won’t keep him from doing what he loves. </p>
<p id=”par-8_37″>“I love the work. Sometimes the hours are a little harder because I’m older, but so what?” he said in a January 2024 interview with <a href=”https://www.tvinsider.com/1119581/tom-selleck-blue-bloods-ending-reaction/”>TV Insider</a>. “I want to work as long as they’ll have me.”</p>
