<p id=”par-2_56″>The Bravo star reacted to the network’s decision not to move forward with production on season 8 in a March 19 <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DWFonKHlCWN/?img_index=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post. She wrote that she was discouraged that the only <em>Housewives </em>show with a predominantly Latina cast had been effectively canceled. But despite her disappointment, she sees the move as just a temporary setback. </p>
<p id=”par-3_32″>“As a proud Latina, being part of a platform like <em>RHOM</em> on Bravo has always meant more to me than just reality television—it’s meant visibility, representation, and having a voice,” Nepola wrote.</p>
<p id=”par-4_52″>“Hearing that the show is currently on pause is disheartening, and it’s hard not to feel the weight of that. Opportunities like this are rare, and they matter. They open doors, challenge perceptions, and allow our stories—and our culture—to be seen and celebrated on a larger stage,” the reality TV personality continued.</p>
<p id=”par-5_31″>Nepola went on to say that she was staying “positive, present, and hopeful” as she hoped the <em>RHOM </em>pause could serve as a way to “create space for something even greater.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_40″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/rhom-where-are-the-original-miami-housewives-today.html/”><em>RHOM </em>premiered in 2011</a> with Nepola as part of the core cast. The show went on hiatus in 2013 after three seasons. It was revived in 2021 as a streaming series on Peacock. It moved back to Bravo in 2023.</p>
<p id=”par-7_48″>“Miami will always be at the heart of my story,” Nepola added. She also said that she was “grateful for the connection—for everyone who has supported me, followed my journey, and been part of it all. That never goes away. This isn’t goodbye… it’s simply see you soon.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_43″>Nepola wasn’t the only <em>RHOM </em>cast member commenting on the show’s pause. New Housewife Stephanie Shojaee, who joined the show in season 7, said in an <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/stephshojaee/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> Story post that she was “disappointed.” But she added that “Miami always finds its way back.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_19″>Kiki Barth, a friend of the cast for the past four seasons, said she was “proud” of the show.</p>
<p id=”par-10_35″>“Being able to show my Haitian background to the world means so much to me, and I’m proud to be part of a cast that brings together so many different perspectives,” she wrote on Instagram. </p>
<p id=”par-11_10″>Barth also highlighted <em>RHOM</em>’s diversity as one of its strengths. </p>
<p id=”par-12_42″>“We have one of the most diverse all-female casts on television—strong women who each bring their own energy, culture, and lifestyle to the table,” she wrote. “You don’t really see this level of diversity and personal storytelling within one cast on TV.”</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-andy-cohen-hints-there-s-hope-for-rhom”>Andy Cohen hints there’s hope for ‘RHOM’</h2>
<p id=”par-13_31″>As Nepola and others mourned the end of the current version of <em>RHOM, </em>Bravo producer Andy Cohen dropped a hint that the network did not see the show’s pause as permanent. </p>
<p id=”par-14_17″>On <a href=”https://www.threads.com/@debvil_/post/DWGs5yAkVql” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Threads</a>, Cohen replied to a user who said they were “super bummed” about <em>RHOM </em>being paused. </p>
<p id=”par-15_9″>“Me too. It will be back though!” he wrote.</p>
