U.S. Congressman Calls Tulsi Gabbard “Trump’s Personal Clown”

Tulsi Gabbard

The Wall Street Journal writer Dustin Volz reported Thursday on the presence of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard during an FBI raid at the Fulton County, Georgia election office. Volz wrote: “Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, is leading an administration-wide effort to probe the 2020 election for fraud and regularly briefing Trump and top White House officials on her progress.”

U.S. Congressman Don Beyer (D-VA) responded to the WSJ report: “The Director of National Intelligence is a serious, taxpayer-funded position created after 9/11 to coordinate efforts to keep Americans safe. Tulsi Gabbard is instead serving as Trump’s personal clown, chasing his lies and crackpot conspiracy theories. This is a scandal.”

[NOTE: In a new development in the wake of the Minnesota ICE activity, other top members of Trump’s team have faced similar criticism from their own side of the aisle, with Republican Senators Thom Tillis (NC) and Lisa Murkowski (AK) calling for the resignation of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.]

Former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama Joyce Vance, a popular left-leaning influencer, also replied to reports of Gabbard’s presence at the election office.

For everyone speculating about why the DNI was there when the Fulton County search warrant was executed, here you go,” Vance wrote, sharing a post by Trump’s Pardon Attorney Ed Martin alleging that former Dominion Voting Systems executive Eric Coomer discussed voting equipment with foreign nationals to deter Trump from winning the 2020 presidential election.

Note: In June, a jury found that Trump donor Mike Lindell — who is currently running for Governor of Minnesota — defamed Coomer (calling him “a traitor to the United States” among other things) and ordered Lindell to pay Coomer $2.3 million in damages.
