Thomas Massie Responds to Melania Trump’s Epstein Speech, “With All Due Respect…”

Rep. Thomas Massie

First Lady Melania Trump surprised members of the press today when she delivered remarks from the White House about the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump said: “The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today…I’ve never been friends with Epstein…To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, Maxwell. My email reply to Maxwell cannot be categorized as anything more than casual correspondence.”

As seen below, Fox News White House reporter Jacqui Heinrich said Mrs. Trump’s statement pushing back on false connections to Jeffrey Epstein “came out of left field” for reporters at the White House.

[NOTE: The statement was especially surprising because Epstein news, not President Trump’s favorite topic, had slowed to a trickle as recent media attention has been dominated by the Iran war.]

U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who has been advocating for the complete release of the Epstein Files, responded to the First Lady’s remarks: “First Lady asks Congress to bring Epstein survivors in for testimony. With all due respect, that’s @DAGToddBlanche’s job!”

Massie added that he and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) “already gave brave survivors a chance to tell their horrific stories on Capitol Hill. @PamBondi wouldn’t even acknowledge them. PROSECUTE!”

It’s been announced that former Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was overseeing the Epstein Files and was fired earlier this week by President Trump, will not testify as scheduled before the House Oversight Committee. Lawmakers, including Massie, are threatening to hold her in contempt.
