Sister Wives Should Be CANCELED, Garrison Brown’s Friend Says

One week after Garrison Brown was found dead due to an apparent suicide, a close friend of this Sister Wives cast member has come out with a tribute (of sorts) to the 25-year old.

As you likely know at this point, Brown took his own life — according to local authorities in Flagstaff, Arizona — on March 4 inside of an apartment he shared with multiple roommates.

Per the police report, these roommates said that Garrison had recently been dealing with Depression, with one noting that he “drinks every night.”

It’s all so very, very sad.

Over the past few days, numerous members of the Brown family have been sharing words of shock and sorrow in response to this tragedy… and now we’ve also heard from a friend named Bryson Cook.

On March 11, Cook shared a handful of photos of himself, Garrison and some other pals, penning a lengthy caption along with this montage that opened as follows:

“You told me you’d always be there for me. You said you’d speak at my future wedding and that you’d want us all to live next to each other once we settled down.

“I remember the days where you would be the one convincing me to stay for all three hours of church.”

The message continued:

“I remember the late night chats about life and the future. I’m mad at you Robert, I’m mad you left without talking to me one last time. I KNOW I’ll get to see you again and we can hug it out then, but for now I’m angry…. I miss you buddy.”

Of particular note to many observers, Bryson concluded his statement by including the hashtag #cancelsisterwives.

He didn’t elaborate on why he feels this way.

It’s not too challenging to understand why Cook shares this belief, however.

We wondered last week whether TLC might cancel Sister Wives in the wake of this suicide, simply considering the magnitude of what has transpired.

How will the series focus on anything but Garrison’s death on Season 19?

And won’t it seem especially exploitive if upcoming episodes use this tragedy as a reality TV storyline?

Moreover, based on the estranged nature of his relationship with his late son, should Kody Brown even be given a platform moving forward?

From what we’ve been able to gather, though, Sister Wives Season 19 will, indeed, air.

“We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown,” TLC said in a statement shortly after news of Garrison’s passing was made public.

“We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
