Sean Hannity’s Disclaimer After Todd Blanche Interview Shocks Journalists, “No Kidding”

Glenn Thrush, a New York Times reporter in Washington who covers the DOJ and FBI, amplified the disclaimer that aired after Fox News star Sean Hannity interviewed President Trump’s acting Attorney General Todd Blanche this week.

On the program Hang Out with Sean Hannity, Blanche alleged there was a “grand conspiracy” regarding investigations into Trump, alleging that a “pattern of behavior” was used to try to “destroy this man,” his family, and his organization.

Blanche spoke about serving as Trump’s personal attorney, defending the then-former President in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case and the “hush money” case that resulted in 34 felony convictions in 2024. Blanche said if Trump hadn’t been re-elected, he would have been sent to prison by the judge.

Addressing Trump’s convictions, Hannity asked Blanche, “Here’s the thing, he was convicted on 34 federal charges so is it an accurate statement to say he either wins in ’24, wins the White House, it’s either White House or The Big House?”

Blanche replied, “Yes, I mean, man, absolutely.” He added, “The consequences of 2024 for this country are priceless. But for him and his family also priceless.”

Against an image of a brick wall, the disclaimer includes a list of Democrats and reads: “John Brennan, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Mathhew (sic) Colangelo, Arthur Engoron and James Clapper have not been charged with any crimes in connection with any alleged conspiracy. Charges against James Comey related to alleged false statements and obstruction have been dismissed. There have been no findings that Rod Rosenstein, Tim Walz, Gavin Newsom or Jacob Frey engaged in professional misconduct.”

Thrush wrote: “This is really, actually, no-kidding the disclaimer Hannity ran after his interview with Todd Blanche.” Punchbowl News co-founder John Bresnahan replied to Thrush: “This is amazing.”

[Note: In April 2023, Fox News agreed to pay Dominion Voting Systems nearly $800 million to avoid a trial in the voting machine company’s lawsuit against Fox News. Dominion said Fox News damaged its reputation by promoting conspiracy theories — relayed by on-camera stars including Hannity — about its voting machine equipment switching votes from Trump to Joe Biden. If the case had gone to trial, Hannity likely would have had to testify.]

Three years later, Blanche continues to promote the notion that the election was tainted, saying in May on Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News that there’s a “ton of evidence” the 2020 presidential election was rigged against Trump.
