Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Trump For Losses and “Many Disgusting Behaviors”

Republicans are reacting to Democrat Emily Gregory flipping Florida House District 87 in a special election, a seat that includes President Trump’s private residence Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach County.

Note: The seat was held by Republican State Representative Mike Caruso, who won by 19 percentage points in 2024, and resigned in 2025 after being appointed county clerk by Governor Ron DeSantis. (It was revealed this week that President Trump voted by mail in the election, despite his push to end vote by mail nationally.)

Former U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) blamed President Trump for Gregory’s win, implying that the Democratic first-time candidate wouldn’t have been competitive in the red district if Trump had kept his word.

Greene wrote: “Turning your back on your campaign promises, and many disgusting behaviors like calling one of your top allies ‘traitor’ for releasing the Epstein files and refusing to go along with MIGA, apparently has consequences. 26 is gone but keep putting Americans last and 28 will be too.” (MIGA is shorthand for Make Iran Great Again, anathema to America First loyalists.)

Note: Democrat Brian Nathan, a Navy veteran and electrical workers union leader, also won a tight state senate race in West Tampa, on Tuesday.

Social media influencer Dominic Michael Tripi replied to Greene’s less-than-optimistic post: “Unbelievably pathetic how they keep blaming ‘podcasters’ instead of taking accountability for their own abysmal performance and repeated betrayals.”

Another MAGA supporter who agreed with Greene replied: “When the Democrats win the midterms, at least we’ll get gridlock as Trump will refuse to sign much of their legislation into law.”
