President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced Tuesday that she had released newly-declassified records, which she says expose “how deep state actors within the Intelligence Community concocted a false narrative that Congress used to usurp the will of the American people and impeach duly-elected President @realDonaldTrump in 2019.”
Not all MAGA loyalists are pleased with Gabbard’s announcement, including social media influencer and self-described “former liberal” Brandon Straka, who replied: “We know all this. We’ve all been saying this for 7 years. We were hoping something would be done about it.”
MAGA influencer Walter Curt also replied: “Listen, I’m all for exposing these people. But until you guys DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. These releases are completely meaningless…Until something is done, these releases aren’t helping anyone.”
We know all this. We’ve all been saying this for 7 years. We were hoping something would be done about it.

[NOTE: Gabbard’s assertions — and what Straka claims to “know” — remain unproven allegations. It is widely believed that the highly litigious Trump administration would, as the MAGA faithful request, “do something about it” if crimes were committed and allegations of wrongdoing were supported by the records Gabbard declassified. Under the circumstances, a lack of evidence that would hold up in court is the most likely rationale for the administration not pursuing prosecutions. Trump detractors see the release, instead, as an attempt to malign through innuendo.]
U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) didn’t reply with a call to action, but the Congressman did ask God to bless Gabbard for declassifying the information.
Jordan added the complaint: “It was a sham from the start. The only thing we got wrong is that it is always worse than we thought.”
Rep. @Jim_Jordan, the whistleblower complaint quickly became irrelevant when it was confirmed by the transcript (released by the WH) and the testimony of more than a dozen witnesses — which firmly proved that Trump tried to shake down Zelenskyy to dig up dirt on Biden.#BeBetter https://t.co/1cBhebKqT9

Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) replied to Jordan: “Rep. @Jim_Jordan, the whistleblower complaint quickly became irrelevant when it was confirmed by the transcript (released by the WH) and the testimony of more than a dozen witnesses — which firmly proved that Trump tried to shake down Zelenskyy to dig up dirt on Biden.”
During a call on July 25, 2019, President Trump asked Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky for “a favor” immediately after Zelensky referenced U.S. military support, then urged investigations tied to the 2016 election and said of Joe Biden: “There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son… whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.” At the same time, roughly $214 million in U.S. security aid to Ukraine was being withheld.
[NOTE: The Government Accountability Office later found the aid freeze violated federal law.]
