MAGA Senate Candidates Flaunt Gun Skills in Alabama, “I’ll Always Shoot You Straight”

Rep. Barry Moore

Trump-endorsed U.S. Representative Barry Moore (R-AL) is among the GOP candidates running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who is running for governor of Alabama, also with Trump’s endorsement.

On Thursday, Moore released the campaign ad below, which features him target shooting. The Congressman wrote: “I’m Barry Moore, and I’m a straight shooter. President @realDonaldTrump endorsed me because he knows I’ll fight for you. No tax increases ever. 100% pro-life. A+ rating from the NRA. Deport all illegals. No woke schools. I’m Barry Moore, and I’ll always shoot you straight.”

In the GOP primary, which will be held May 19, Moore’s top two contenders are Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson, who runs an organization to end human trafficking.

As seen below, Hudson also demonstrated his firearm skills in a campaign ad. Crumpling his paper energy bill, he threw it in the air and shot it. Hudson wrote: “I just put a round through my power bill.”

He added, “I’ve spent my life fighting threats as a Navy SEAL, and now I’m taking aim at the energy failures crushing families across this state.”

Of the four Democrats running for Tuberville’s seat — Dakarai Larriett, Lamont Lavender, Kyle Sweetser, and Mark Wheeler — Sweetser has reportedly raised the most money among them. According to a press release, last week his campaign “achieved fundraising results to date equivalent to Doug Jones during the 2017 primary, leading to his victory as the last Democratic Senator from Alabama.”

[NOTE: Sweetser’s campaign also cites notable donors, including Don Henley of The Eagles and retired NASA astronaut Col. Terry Virts.]
