U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who is running for re-election with the endorsement of President Trump, shared a photo of him with two men standing outside the UFC 250 event on the White House lawn. He wrote: “Looking forward to the fights. Happy birthday, @POTUS!”
Graham’s Democrat opponent, Dr. Annie Andrews, responded by writing: “I took care of sick kids at the hospital today.”

Andrews’ post drew snarky criticism from MAGA supporters who left comments including “Not everyone works on Sunday” and “So you just did your job?”
[NOTE: Last week, after Graham won the GOP senate nomination in South Carolina, he described Andrews as “an attractive nice lady (with) a couple of kids,” while failing to mention her professional status as a physician, an omission some characterized as a “misogynist.”]
.@AnnieAndrewsMD is a doctor. Her opponent, @LindseyGrahamSC, refers to her here as “an attractive, nice lady with a couple of kids.”

Andrews won 61.5 percent of the Democratic primary votes; Graham won nearly 60 percent of the GOP primary votes, setting up a general election contest that is expected to draw a lot of attention and funding. Graham’s campaign “spent more than $13 million on ads” in the GOP primary, according to a Newsweek report.
