Sen. Lindsey Graham

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who has been among the most vocal advocates for President Trump’s handling of U.S. war in Iran, appeared on Fox News Thursday and asked viewers to help him financially as he runs for reelection.

Graham, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, claimed that the U.S. has “pretty much destroyed” Iran’s economy.

The Senator added, “If they run out of storage space for oil, they have to shut the wells down. And when you shut them down, it’s hard to start them back up. Without oil and gas revenue, they’re out of business.” Graham contended, “This is a brilliant move by President Trump, the blockade is working.”

As seen below, in an uninterrupted two-minute clip from his Fox News appearance, Graham noted the upcoming midterm elections and said of the Republican Party: “We’re in a fight for the heart and soul of this country. I’m in a fight. I need your help. I hate to say this, but I’ve been outraised twice by Democrats. Please go to Lindsey Graham dot com and help me if you can.”

He told Fox viewers: “The Democrats have money. I don’t know where they’re getting all of this money but I need your help. Lindsey Graham dot com. Please help me if you can.” He repeated once more: “Lindsey Graham dot com. Please help if you can.”

Graham faces five Republicans in the GOP primary in June. Five Democrats, including Dr. Annie Andrews, are running in the Democratic primary.

As seen below, Andrews says that Graham and his party, which controls the House, Senate, and executive branch, “cannot govern effectively.”

She noted that a poll has her just two points behind Graham, who has held his seat for 23 years. She said of Graham: “He understands that his job is under threat and so he’s panicking.”
