Lauren Boebert’s Top Dem Opponent Pounces on Clinton Photo, “Attention-Seeking Tactics”

Rep. Boebert

U.S. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (D-CO) took a photo of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a closed door deposition today regarding the Epstein Files, and sent it to MAGA influencer Benny Johnson, who then posted the photo (with his name brandished all over it) on social media.

Note: Clinton demanded that her deposition be public but her request was rejected by Republican chair Rep. James Comer (KY). When the photo was discovered on social media, Clinton asked that reporters be allowed in but again her request was denied.

One of Boebert’s Democratic challengers this year, Retired Rear Admiral Eileen Laubacher, decided to reshare the image (which 2paragraphs has opted not to do here) and wrote: “I’m Eileen Laubacher, the retired Rear Admiral and Democrat running against Lauren Boebert. And I know not to take photos during closed door or classified hearings… as well as to not tweet out the locations of members of Congress during active insurrections.”

Note: During the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Boebert tweeted details regarding the location of Congressmembers including: “Speaker has been removed from the chambers” (2:18 PM)” — which many said endangered the safety of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Laubacher, who raised nearly $6.5 million in 2025, added: “Lauren Boebert claims she wants accountability, then stands in the way of that accountability with her attention-seeking antics.”

Ranking member Rep. Robert Garcia (D-NY) said of the photo leak: “What is not acceptable is Oversight Republicans breaking their own committee rules that they established with the Secretary and her team.”

Garcia is also demanding that the full transcript of Hillary Clinton’s deposition be released to the American public within 24 hours, and that President Trump should be asked to testify since his name appears in the Epstein files “more than almost anyone else.”
